regarding students and teachers in K–12 schools across the country.

These talks are meant to inspire action and provide a platform for leaders in education to share their ideas and advocate for equity in education. The goal is to foster positive
discourse and exchange of viewpoints on how K–12 schools frame our nation’s history and historical figures through inclusive narratives, perspectives, and role models.

This free event will be moderated by Dr. Tina Marshall-Bradley, educator, researcher, and academic coordinator for Walden’s MS in Education program.

Our panel will consist of:
•      Rey Saldaña, president and CEO of Communities in Schools
•      Dr. Sonja Santelises, CEO of Baltimore City Public Schools
•      Tanya Batchelor-Judge, district administrator, educator, and Walden graduate

The panel discussion will explore:
•      What it means to have diverse learning curricula.
•      The benefits to students experiencing a racially and ethnically diverse K–12 education and teacher workforce.
•      Roadblocks faced by school districts in developing and implementing diverse learning curricula and a diverse workforce.
•      Strategies educational leaders use to overcome these challenges.

Register to attend this online event, and feel free to share it with others who can benefit.

You can also watch the archived presentation of our first Talks for Good, A Historical Perspective on Equity in Education.
